Re-Think Pink
My love for pink has certainly wavered over the past years, like a relationship you know is good for you but you just can’t commit – but this year, with soft pastely-pink coming in strong, I am revisiting the commitment to my wardrobe and my beauty products. This is the perfect month to move some of these items from the “like” to the “love” category.
I have never been much of a Valentine’s Day participant (neither is my husband). So I have gathered up a few items to get me in the mood but don’t demand a 5-course meal in a room full of strangers. Wear them for an at-home homage to the day or coffee with your besties. From a touch of pink nails to head-to-toe suiting, you will be feeling pretty in pink.

DES_PHEMMES – Lace Bralette
Let’s start with the essentials. Lacey, pretty, sexy and can be worn under a blazer or hidden under a sweater. The secret is that YOU know it’s there – and isn’t that all that matters when you love yourself.

CINQ A SEPT – Paris New York Ringer T-Shirt
However you are spending your Valentine’s Day weekend – leisurely at home or at a casual brunch with the gal pals, this tee fits the bill with an ode to two of the most beloved cities on the planet.

MAGDA BUTRYM – Stretch Silk Top
The master of rose-accents, this top from French designer Magda Butrym is feminine and sexy – just the way I like it. In petal pink with her signature accents, the color may say “I am shy” but the one-shoulder fitted design says “where do we go from here.”

BRANDON BLACKWOOD – Micro Mia Bag
For those who want a bit of bling with their pink purse, step into the Brandon Blackwood Nia Bag. Because even if your outfit is boring, your bag does not have to be.

JIMMY CHOO – 40mm Didi Pump
These kitten-heel beauties are pink perfection with a heel height you can walk in all day or dance in all night. On my wish list, I look forward to slipping them on with everything from cargo pants to a red mini dress.

THE FRANKIE SHOP – Avery Shirt Dress in Petal
Their is a reason why this dress sells out every season. lt is versatility to the maxii! Belted, loose, open, layered, the list goes on and on. Pair it with burgundy for a transitional vide, soft yellow accents for spring or ocean blue in summer.

AUTUMN CASHMERE – Tulle Midi Skirt
Tulle never seems to go out of style, so why not add a piece to the February list. I love the idea of wearing this under a circle skirt to add fullness, or wear with black platform boots for that 80’s vibe.

& OTHER STORIES – Alpaca-blend Knit Cardigan
Cardigans have never been my thing, but like pink, I am rethinking my love with a bit of styling creativity. Upsize this and unbutton the top buttons for an off-the-shoulder come-hither statement that warms the heart inside and out.

HERMES – Nail Enamel in Rose Porcelain
For the nail-loving girlie who loves lux – this is for you.

L’OREAL Le Roy Confident Intense Volume Matte Lipstick
A little lip-plumping that lasts all day – count me in for this kissable color.

LIZZIE FORTUNATA – Tile Earrings
These little gems add just the right amount of bling. Available in 6 colors, glass rectangles set in gold-plated brass with semiprecious peridot from this sister-duo based in NYC.

THE FRANKIE SHOP – 4-Piece Suit in Rose
This is the one pink I have been able to commit to over the past year and The Frankie Shop continues to restock it due to its popularity – the 4-piece suit. I wear mine as a mono-moment or as separates. The pieces make for the perfect balance of masculine-femininity.

BRAHMIN- Rosetta Satchel
Flowers for Valentine’s Day – yes please – and make them everlasting. Carry a pretty batch of flowers with you everyday with this bag from Brahmin. Because why buy flowers when you can buy a flower bag instead.
